Happy Mother’s Day!

We would like to wish a happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out their. Our Parents are our first allies and advocates so today we would like to thank every parent out there who is advocating for their Autistic children. It may not seem like it at times however, you are making a difference in your children’s lives and in doing so also pave the way for future generations of autistics. So thank you for everything you do and we hope you have a wonderful day.

Happy Mother's Day

Today I would like to thank all the mothers who do so much for those of us on the autism spectrum. You guys have always been by our sides when we needed you the most. You were our first allies and advocates, and most importantly you taught us that being different is not wrong.

If it weren’t for you we would not be the wonderful people we are today. I would like to especially thank my mother who has assisted in making Bryce Pace – Autism Advocate what it is today. When I wrote the first blog post three years ago she was proud that I was standing up for what I believed in however, like me she did not expect it to become what it is today. Despite this she stepped up and supported me by becoming my business partner. She became my extra pair of hands when I live streamed my talks, she became my second pair of eyes when I wrote an article or blog post and most importantly, she became my second voice when I needed a little extra help. I am lucky to have such a wonderful person in my life and I am proud to call her my mother.

Thank you for everything you do, and I hope you have a great Mother’s Day

Happy Mother's Day

Parents are an important part of any bodies life. Our parents teach us things that we can’t learn from a school, they teach us that there is no crime in being different, that being different is a blessing as life would be boring if everyone were the same. Growing up knowing that you are different from everyone else can be difficult. We get teased, bullied and sometimes hurt by people who don’t understand us, however, thanks to our parents there is a place where we can go, where we are accepted for who we are; a place where we are free to be our quirky and unique selves. A place that we call home but mean so much more than just the building we live in.My Mother is no exception, as she taught me that there is nothing wrong with being different and most importantly She was always there for me when I most needed her. While I was being bullied in Primary school she provided a place where I was free to be myself without being judged. When I wanted to hide my diagnosis from everyone in secondary school she told no one, and when I was exhausted from hiding my true self she provided me with time to recharge and I thank her for this. When I wrote my first blog post two years ago she was proud of me however like me was not expecting what came next. Despite this, she once again stepped up and supported me by becoming my business partner. She became my extra pair of hands when I live streamed my talks, she became my second pair of eyes when I wrote an article or blog post and most importantly she became my second voice when I needed a little extra help. I am glad to have a woman like this in my life and I am Proud to be able to call this amazing woman my mum. The next time you see my mum at an event make sure you thank her as she is the reason I am who I am and is the reason I am able to advocate for a world where every young person is accepted and included no matter their ability. Thank you, mum, for everything you do and Happy Mother’s Day Bryce Pace Autism Advocate, Blogger, Speaker

Thank You Mum

Parents are an important part of anybody's life. They teach you everything that a teacher cannot and most importantly they raise you to be who you are. My mother is no exception to this as she has taught me to always accept difference. She is the reason I am advocating for a future of acceptance as she taught me that being different does not make you wrong. she not only taught me acceptance but she was always there when I needed her. I may have been bullied in Primary school however at home I was free to just be myself with no consequence and I thank her for that. I may not have grown up with a father in my life however my mother made up for that by teaching me everything I needed to know. I come home every day now with the knowledge that she is 100% behind me every step of the way. In the past year, she has stepped up and helped me by being my editor and business partner. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her which is why I write this special post for this amazing woman that I am lucky enough to be able to call my mother. I get thanked all the time for being an inspiration while my mother stands beside me being ignored and she says nothing. The next time you see her beside me think about what I have written today and how supportive she is. She is the true inspiration that needs to be thanked as if it wasn’t for my amazing mother I probably wouldn’t be so proud to be myself.

Thank you, mum for everything and happy Mother’s Day
