Accessible Tourism on the Gold Coast

Last Thursday I was thrilled to have the opportunity to assist in facilitating a workshop in Surfers Paradise to assist tourism businesses to understand what it is like to go on holiday as an individual with a disability. It was a great day filled with constructive conversations about making Tourism on the Gold Coast more accessible for people of all abilities. I look forward to seeing the improvements these businesses make to ensure everyone can enjoy everything the Sunshine State has to offer.

We Are Reopening!

Hi everyone. As we enter a COVID normal world I am happy to announce that we will once again be offering a range of services. At this time however we have decided to focus on speaking and professional development services only in response to existing concerns about COVID 19. We will also be leaving a 14 day gap between face to face bookings and unfortunately we will not be doing any school or youth group workshops at this time. We will still be offering or workshops to teachers, businesses and community events where our Recharge Room will also be available for display purposes and limited use upon request. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and we look forward to offering our full services again soon.

Thanks

Our First Online Workshop

On Thursday night I had the pleasure of running our first online workshop to the Bacchus Marsh Scout Troop. During this uncertain time, we are proud to still be able to provide our unique workshops online. Our workshops have assisted communities all over Victoria to be more inclusive and accepting to people of all abilities.  We are also proud to announce that during this time our workshops will be at a reduced cost with schools, youth groups, and scout groups being able to access our online workshops completely free. If you would like to invite us to speak to your class, youth group, Scout or Guide group feel free to contact us by emailing bryce.pace.autism.advocate@gmail.com or calling 04 4761 9496.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Important Announcement Regarding Covid - 19

As I am sure you are aware the world is currently experiencing some hard times with the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. In response to this we at Bryce Pace – Autism Advocate are making some changes to ensure the safety of the wider community.
We are proud to say that we will still be providing our Professional Development and public speaking services with some changes,
• We will be only supplying in person workshops to Victoria
to minimise the use of public transport.
• We will not be attending any events with a turnout of
more than 100 people
• We will also be avoiding handshaking, high fives, etc.

In addition to these changes, we are excited to announce that we will now be offering our workshops online to ensure we can continue to offer our unique workshops through this uncertain time. If you are interested in having us run a workshop for your business, school, scout group or youth group feel free to contact us by heading to the link below.

Please also note that as we currently lack the resources to sanitize things on a regular basis, we have made the decision to suspend our Recharge Room services until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience and encourage you to keep an eye on our social media and website for further announcements.
We would like to thank everyone for your support especially during this uncertain and unpredictable time and we hope things can get back to normal soon.

Student Opportunity

Do you know a student in South West Victoria who is interested in helping to create a world that accepts, includes and embraces the Autism Spectrum? On the 4th of June, there is to be a Professional Development Day in Heywood and we would love for there to be a panel of students who could talk about their own experiences as a student on the autism spectrum. If you know someone please feel free to send an email to bryce.pace.autism.advocate@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Everyone, below is a video of my talk on the topic of autism in the classroom which was presented at the 2018 National Future Schools Conference in Melbourne. I apologise for the quality of the video however, we had technical difficulties with connecting to the venue's Wi-Fi. [wpvideo dnJEK9zx]
