Today is National Coming Out Day

Hi everyone, I would like to wish everyone a happy National Coming Out Day.

Today is an LGBTQIA+ day to celebrate and to support members of the community who are beginning the process of disclosing their identity. For some this is a time to celebrate with friends and family, however for others this can be a time where they lose family and friends due to lack of acceptance and understanding.

This is why a day like today is so important as the journey of coming out can be challenging and even scary, however with the support of an entire community it can make this process a little less daunting. It may even give some the confidence to be loud and proud about what makes them unique.

One year ago today I was on my own coming out journey as I discovered earlier in the year that I was bisexual. Up until October I had only disclosed my sexuality to a handful of people, however this was about to change. On October 18th I decided to tell my LGBTQIA+ story for the first time in my blog post on autism and sexuality. From the day I discovered I was bisexual I knew I wanted to come out in a public way to help raise awareness around the intersectionality of Autism and the LGBTQIA+ community.

At Bryce Pace – Autism Advocate we celebrate human diversity and proudly welcome our friends and allies in the LGBTQIA+ community. This is why on this day I would like to offer a special 20% discount for tickets to our upcoming seminar Growing up Autistic in a Neurotypical World. At this seminar I will be telling the story of my 10 year journey to discovering and accepting my LGBTQIA+ identity.

This discount will be automatically applied at checkout and will only be available until 11:55pm tonight.
